Preview: Corliss Trojans vs. Fenger Titans
The Corliss Trojans will be playing at home against the Fenger Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Corliss suffered their biggest loss since November 21, 2023 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 64-33 loss at the hands of Harlan. Corliss has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their defeat, Corliss saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. D?Mario Sanders, who scored ten points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Amir McKinney, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Fenger was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 51-46 to Woodlawn.
Corliss bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fenger, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.
Corliss didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Fenger in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 59-55 victory. Does Corliss have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fenger turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
