Basketball Recap: Anson Tigers vs. Hamlin Pied Pipers
The Anson Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Hamlin by a score of 49-47. Anson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pied Pipers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Hamlin was led to victory by Luke White and AJ Rivera. White scored 13 points, while Rivera scored 14 points. Kyson McGee was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Anson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Hamlin, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-19.
Anson will take on the Lions at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamlin, they will head out on the road to square off against the Loboes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
