Football Recap: Cotopaxi Pirates vs. Branson/Kim Bearcats
Cotopaxi fell victim to Branson/Kim and their airtight defense on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 54-0 loss at the hands of the Branson/Kim Bearcats. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
Kolter Cranson was a one-man wrecking crew for Branson/Kim as he rushed for 171 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Cranson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his 12th straight game with at least 102 rushing yards dating back to last season. David Gamez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Cotopaxi's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Branson/Kim, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Cotopaxi will challenge Primero at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Primero knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 point or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Cotopaxi likes a good challenge. As for Branson/Kim, they will welcome Deer Trail at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
