Given Lawrence Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Halifax Academy is ranked 418th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lawrence Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Halifax Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
