They walked away with a 70-57 win over Halifax Academy. Given Lawrence Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Halifax Academy is ranked 418th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lawrence Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mike Lee, who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Conner Ferebee, who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds.
Lawrence Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Halifax Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

As for Halifax Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Harrells Christian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
