In what's become a running theme this season, Digital Pioneers Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 67-30 victory over Richard Wright Public Charter School on the road.
Digital Pioneers Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aaron Lowman out in front who scored 14 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Ahmad Lowman, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, KIPP DC Legacy College Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Idea. KIPP DC Legacy College Prep has not had much luck with the Timberwolves recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, KIPP DC Legacy College Prep got a solid performance out of Marlon Calhoun, who scored 31 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Demetrius Gladen, who scored nine points.
Digital Pioneers Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for KIPP DC Legacy College Prep, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-7.
Digital Pioneers Academy ended up a good deal behind the Bulldogs in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, losing 59-40.
