Volleyball Recap: Centennial Cougars vs. Anoka Tornadoes
Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Anoka Tornadoes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tornadoes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.
Centennial was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-23.
Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Anoka, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Centennial will challenge rival Spring Lake Park at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Anoka is set to face off against their familiar foe Robbinsdale Armstrong at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
