Basketball Recap: Reagan Smith's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Taylor's Crossing over Leadore

If Taylor's Crossing was feeling good fresh off their 49-15 takedown of Alturas Prep last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Taylor's Crossing Eagles came up short against the Leadore Mustangs on Thursday, falling 39-17. The Eagles have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reagan Smith, who posted five points.

Taylor's Crossing's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Leadore, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Taylor's Crossing wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 33-23 win against North Gem on the 10th. Leadore has also already played their next contest, a 53-35 victory against Mackay on the 12th.
