Softball Recap: Seaman Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Seaman strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Eight seems to be a good number for the Vikings as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Not much got past Kaelyn O'Rourke, who gave up just four hits and racked up 16 Ks to keep Basehor-Linwood off the board. O'Rourke has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Natalee Simpson was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Glasgow, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Seaman pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Basehor-Linwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bobcats beat Seaman by a score of 13-4 later that day.
