Softball Recap: Seven Straight Home Victories for Sealy

Sealy entered their tilt with Fort Bend Willowridge on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Charlee Ramos was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Karly Kram12 and Kara Kram13 did most of the damage at the plate: Kram12 scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2, while Kram13 went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases Kram12 has posted since back in March of 2024. Nathaly Velazquez also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Sealy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .652. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Sealy pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Fort Bend Willowridge, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Sealy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 25-0 victory against Royal on the 25th. As for Fort Bend Willowridge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 21-5 defeat against La Marque on the 25th.
