Softball Recap: Perry Hall Victorious

Perry Hall hadn't done well against Eastern Tech recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Gators came out on top against the Mavericks by a score of 13-8. The Gators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mavericks, too.

Savannah Carl was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off three hits. Carl was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Madison Carl was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Leana Vaisvil, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

The victory got Perry Hall back to even at 1-1. As for Eastern Tech, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Perry Hall has already played their next game (against Towson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Eastern Tech, they will take on Dundalk at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
