The home team had won the previous two meetings between Grove City and Pickerington North, and Grove City kept the tradition alive. The Greyhounds were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Panthers on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Greyhounds, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Grove City has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pickerington North, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-8.

Coincidentally, Grove City and Pickerington North will both be playing New Albany the next time they take the field. The Greyhounds will head out to face the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
