Basketball Recap: River View Takes a Loss

River View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indian Valley Braves. The Black Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

River View's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Indian Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

River View will square off against Philo at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. River View has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Indian Valley, they will face off against Tuscarawas Valley at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tuscarawas Valley's defense has only allowed 26.7 points per game this season, so Indian Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them.
