Basketball Game Preview: Ranney vs. Shore Regional Blue Devils

Ranney are taking a road trip to take on the Shore Regional Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row dating back to last season, Ranney turned things around against East Brunswick on Monday. They ended the year with a bang, routing the Bears 60-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Ranney has posted since February 23, 2024.

Meanwhile, Shore Regional got the win against Southern Regional on Friday by a conclusive 61-39. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-19.

Ranney better keep an eye on Ava Coyle. She was instrumental in Shore Regional's win, going 12 of 20 en route to 30 points along with five boards and four steals. With that strong performance, Coyle is now averaging an impressive 17.3 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimi Sayson, who posted 12 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Shore Regional is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Ranney, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
