Homestead came tearing into Tuesday's match with 13 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in March.

Homestead walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-27, 25-21, 25-20.

Homestead found their leader in sophomore Soren Birkey, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Homestead's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2. As for Fort Wayne Northrop, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Homestead is set to face off against their familiar foe Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Northrop will challenge rival New Haven at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
