On Tuesday, St. Augustine faced John Curtis Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The St. Augustine Purple Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-44 win over the John Curtis Christian Patriots. The victory was familiar territory for the Purple Knights who have now won three contests in a row.
