Galway is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Berne-Knox-Westerlo on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Galway was dealt a 67-33 defeat at the hands of Berne-Knox-Westerlo. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons came into Monday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Canajoharie 43-41.

Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Galway, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Galway suffered a grim 44-21 defeat to Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Galway avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
