Softball Game Preview: Timpview Thunderbirds vs. Springville Red Devils

Timpview hasn't had much luck against Springville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Timpview Thunderbirds will take on the Springville Red Devils at 3:30 p.m. This will be Timpview's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Timpview is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They came up short against Skyridge, falling 18-1. That's two games in a row now that the Thunderbirds have lost by exactly 17 runs.

Timpview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elle Payne, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Springville never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on Lone Peak with a sharp 6-0 win. Considering the Red Devils have won three matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Allyx Haveron, who gave up just four hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Lone Peak off the board.

On the hitting side, Morgan Fairbourne was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Brooklynn Richardson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Timpview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Springville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Timpview might still be hurting after the 18-1 loss they got from Springville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Timpview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
