Basketball Recap: Hunter Peterson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead White House over Christ Presbyterian Academy

If White House was riding high fresh off their 84-35 takedown of Christian Community last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The White House Blue Devils fell 58-49 to the Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Lions are ranked 110th).

White House lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Hunter Peterson, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points. Those 15 points gave Peterson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Louis Taylor, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds.

White House's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

White House didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-48 loss against Lawson on the 28th. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 51-47 win against Wilson Central on the 28th.
