Basketball Game Preview: Badin Rams vs. Hamilton Big Blue

The Badin Rams will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Hamilton Big Blue at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Badin is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Summit Country Day just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silver Knights. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Silver Knights 10-6 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 59-48 to Lakota East. While losing is never fun, the Big Blue can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 488th, while the Thunderhawks are ranked 26th).

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Badin, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.

Badin came up short against Hamilton when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 46-35. Can Badin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
