Baseball Recap: Ten Straight Home Victories for Rocklin

Rocklin waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Whitney Wildcats. That's two games straight that the Thunder have won by just one run.

Rocklin got a great performance from Andrew Hancock as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts Hancock has posted since back in February.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ahren Verma, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Rocklin pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Whitney, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Thunder 2.5, the Marauders 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
