Basketball Recap: Argonaut Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

It's playoff time, and Argonaut had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Chowchilla Tribe with a sharp 72-49 win on Tuesday.

Argonaut was led to victory by Mitchell Mcmahan and JJ Lungren. Mcmahan dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten boards, while Lungren shot 5-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. With that strong performance, Lungren is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Mariano Lopez was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

Argonaut pushed their record up to 26-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.2 points over those games. As for Chowchilla, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 20-13 record.

Coming up, Argonaut will be playing at home against Alhambra at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Argonaut's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Chowchilla does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
