Softball Recap: Calhoun Triumphs

Calhoun hadn't done well against Columbia Prep recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 25-16 win. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Lions on Tuesday, they had to take a 17-16 loss.

Calhoun got a massive performance out of Maeve Pleven, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with six stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Jolie Venette was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Calhoun's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Columbia Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
