Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop). They claimed a resounding 80-38 win over the Hebbronville Longhorns. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-13.

Kristian Ramos was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 14 on his way to 25 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 21 or more in the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Valdez, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Bishop was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Hebbronville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Robert Gonzalez, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Oscar Carrillo, who posted 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

The victory got Bishop back to even at 12-12. As for Hebbronville, they dropped their record down to 8-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Bishop will venture away from home to face off against Banquete at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Banquete has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight defeats, while Bishop will come in with three straight wins. As for Hebbronville, they will welcome Falfurrias at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hebbronville is facing Falfurrias at the right time seeing as Falfurrias is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
