Palmer Ridge is 1-6 against Lutheran since September of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bears will head out to take on the Lions at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Palmer Ridge comes in on eight and Lutheran on ten.

The Bears blew past the Red-Tailed Hawks 12-2 on Wednesday. Considering the Bears have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Pam Boyarko was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Corinna Arellano, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Palmer Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cheyenne Mountain only managed four.
Meanwhile, Lutheran never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Air Academy with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Lions have won 12 matchups by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Annie Schroeder looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Addie Brightman was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Khloe Kendrick also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Palmer Ridge's record now sits at 18-3. As for Lutheran, their record is now 18-4.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Palmer Ridge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .504. However, it's not like Lutheran struggles in that department as they've averaged .478. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Palmer Ridge beat Lutheran 10-7 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
