Three Rivers suffers fourth straight loss on the road

Recap: Three Rivers Wildcats vs. Coldwater Cardinals

The Three Rivers Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Coldwater 57-17. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Three Rivers has scored all season.

Coldwater's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rylie VanAken, who scored 13 points along with three steals. VanAken has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Mya Porter was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Three Rivers dropped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Coldwater, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Three Rivers will face off against Niles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Coldwater, they will head out on the road to take on Hastings at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hastings will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 548th, while Coldwater is ranked 80th).
