Basketball Recap: Velva Takes a Loss

Velva was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a 44-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Ryan Lions. The Aggies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Velva's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Bishop Ryan, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Velva will welcome Glenburn at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Ryan, they will be playing at home against Surrey at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
