Softball Recap: Centerville Takes a Loss

Centerville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Garretson Blue Dragons.

Centerville's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Garretson, they moved to 2-10 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Centerville will head out to challenge Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Garretson, they will venture away from home to take on Colman-Egan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the C-E Hawks have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
