Baseball Game Preview: Pine Valley Central Panthers vs. Brocton Bulldogs

The Pine Valley Central Panthers will face off against the Brocton Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pine Valley Central is looking for their season's first win.

Monday just wasn't the day for Pine Valley Central's offense. They lost 14-0 to Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama on Monday.

Pine Valley Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Slade, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Brocton came into Tuesday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since May 7, 2024.

Pine Valley Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Brocton, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-6.

Pine Valley Central might still be hurting after the 11-4 loss they got from Brocton in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
