Softball Preview: Windsor Wizards vs. Northridge Grizzlies
The Windsor Wizards are on the road again on Friday to play the Northridge Grizzlies at 12:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Northridge's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Windsor hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Windsor beat Conifer on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-0. Windsor's victory was all the more impressive since the Lobos were averaging only 3.65 runs allowed on the season.
Meanwhile, Northridge made easy work of Ponderosa on Friday and carried off a 17-9 win.
Brooke Riofrio made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Riofrio was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
