Football Recap: Crescent City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Crescent City fell victim to New Smyrna Beach and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Barracudas and fell 52-0. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 417th, while the Barracudas are ranked 181st).

LJ Keenon threw for 47 yards on four of 17 attempts. Kyrie Rolhac was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards.

Todd Cutler Jr had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 148 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries for New Smyrna Beach. Cutler Jr's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 148 rushing yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Crescent City and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for New Smyrna Beach, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Crescent City will face off against Father Lopez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Green Wave's defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Raiders' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for New Smyrna Beach, they will challenge Seabreeze at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Barracudas' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
