Softball Recap: Hoover Vikings vs. GlenOak Golden Eagles
Hoover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the GlenOak Golden Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly two runs.
Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for GlenOak, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoover will head out to square off against Green at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for GlenOak, they are taking a road trip to challenge Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
