Recap: Alliance Bloomfield Bulls vs. Smidt Tech Grey Wolves
The Alliance Bloomfield Bulls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Smidt Tech at home by a decisive 50-36 margin. Alliance Bloomfield was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Smidt Tech apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Nathan Lopez was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points for Smidt Tech. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Merlos, who scored 11 points.
Alliance Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Smidt Tech, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-6.
Alliance Bloomfield will be home for the holidays to greet New Designs University Park at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Designs University Park is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Smidt Tech, they will face off against Annenberg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Annenberg is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
