Baseball Game Preview: Woodlawn Colonels vs. Carver Birmingham Rams

Woodlawn is 0-3 against Carver Birmingham since February of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Woodlawn Colonels will be playing at home against the Carver Birmingham Rams at 5:00 p.m. Woodlawn will be strutting in after a victory while Carver Birmingham will be coming in after a defeat.

Woodlawn took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over Wenonah.

Woodlawn got a massive performance out of Santerious Mccord, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 1-for-1. With that strong performance, Mccord is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Fernandez Sturdivant, who scored two runs and stole three bases.

Meanwhile, Carver Birmingham lost 20-5 to Parker on Monday. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Thundering Herd recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Woodlawn's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2. As for Carver Birmingham, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
