Softball Game Preview: Rio Vista Rams vs. Woodland Christian Cardinals

For the second straight game, Rio Vista will face off against Woodland Christian. Rio Vista will host Woodland Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Rio Vista has won six straight at home dating back to last season, while Woodland Christian won seven straight on the road also dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.

Rio Vista is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Woodland Christian just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 11-7 to the Cardinals.

For Woodland Christian's part, they got a massive performance out of Adison Huiskens, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Huiskens a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Hayes, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Woodland Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Rio Vista, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.
