Volleyball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Warren Township's Fourth in Last Five Outings

If Lakes wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Warren Township, they should've done a better job of containing Joel Paasch. The Blue Devils walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles on Monday for which the team can thank Paasch, who had six aces and three digs. He has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 20 times he's played.

Warren Township easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18.

Warren Township has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-11 record this season. As for Lakes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-19 record this season.

Warren Township will venture away from home to take on Libertyville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lakes, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Zion-Benton on the 20th.
