Pieper has gone a perfect 5-0 against Wagner recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Pieper Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Wagner Thunderbirds at 7:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pieper has ten straight victories, Wagner has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Pieper's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past New Braunfels 3-0. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Wagner fell victim to Boerne and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Greyhounds, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 690th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 77th).

Pieper's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matches. As for Wagner, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Everything went Pieper's way against Wagner when the teams last played back in January, as Pieper made off with an 8-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pieper since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
