Baseball Recap: Ruskin Comes Up Short

Ruskin extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 34 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-20 in the process. They came up short against the Harrisonville Wildcats, falling 12-2. The Golden Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Ruskin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Myles Duncan, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

As for Harrisonville, the win got them back to even at 11-11. That ten run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

On Harrisonville's side, they got a massive performance out of Levi Hall, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and four runs. Those four runs gave Hall a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Hall, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Coming up, Ruskin will square off against Grandview at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Harrisonville, they will challenge Butler at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
