The Northeast Lauderdale Trojans took a 33-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newton County Cougars on Thursday. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Northeast Lauderdale's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Newton County, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
