Baseball Recap: Hurley Takes a Loss

Hurley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Washburn, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Northstars fell just short of the Castle Guards by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Northstars haven't had much luck with the Castle Guards recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Hurley now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Washburn, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Looking ahead, Hurley will challenge Wright at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Northstars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Devils have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Washburn, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Chequamegon at 4:30 p.m.
