Monett is 8-1 against Carl Junction since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cubs will head out to square off against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

While Monett's victory against McDonald County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cubs beat the Mustangs by a goal, winning 4-3. Considering Monett's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Marshfield kept up with Carl Junction until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Bluejays with a sharp 4-0 win. Nolan Couk was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Monett is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those 12 contests. As for Carl Junction, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Monett skirted past Carl Junction 2-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Do the Cubs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
