Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Marietta Blue Devils blew the Douglas County Tigers out of the water with  an  85-16 final score. The  game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  42-9.
 Marietta's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Leah DeWitt led the charge by  shooting 6-for-9  from beyond the arc and  almost  dropping  a double-double on 31 points and nine  assists. DeWitt's evening made it three games in a row in which  she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Janiah Scott, who  went 6 for 8 en route to 14 points plus seven  rebounds and six  steals.
 Marietta  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 14  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 14  offensive rebounds in three consecutive  matches.
 Marietta now  has a winning record of 2-1.
 Marietta will head out on the road to  square off against  Holy Innocents Episcopal  at 3:20  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Douglas County, they will face off against Columbia at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
