Basketball Recap: Aubrey Comes Up Short

Aubrey and Kennedale squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Aubrey had to settle for second. They took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kennedale Wildcats. The Chaparrals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Aubrey's defeat dropped their record down to 22-11. As for Kennedale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 22 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-7 record this season.

Aubrey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kennedale, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats take on the Panthers on Monday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with North Lamar sitting on four straight victories and Kennedale on 13.
