Softball Game Preview: Rockford East E-Rabs vs. Harlem Huskies

Rockford East is 0-10 against Harlem since April of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The E-Rabs will host the Huskies at 5:00 p.m.

Rockford East is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 25th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 17-0 to Belvidere.

Meanwhile, Harlem never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Guilford. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Megan Christensen, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joslyn Agustin, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Harlem always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Harlem is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Rockford East, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
