Softball Recap: Helena's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Helena walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Hartselle Tigers 3-2 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Huskies sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Helena saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carrington Schiefer, who went 3-for-6 with one RBI. That's the most hits Schiefer has posted since back in March.

Helena's victory bumped their record up to 33-15-2. As for Hartselle, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-13-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Helena beat the Tigers by a score of 3-2 later that day.
