Preview: North Woods grizzlies vs. Fond du Lac Ojibwe O Ogichida
North Woods has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Fond du Lac Ojibwe O Ogichida at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. North Woods has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 860 points over their last ten games.
North Woods pushed their score all the way to 80 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Mountain Iron-Buhl at home by a decisive 95-80 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (71), North Woods still had to take the loss.
Fond du Lac Ojibwe O suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 91-52 defeat at the hands of Mountain Iron-Buhl. While losing is never fun, Fond du Lac Ojibwe O can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while Mountain Iron-Buhl is ranked 116th).
North Woods' record now sits at 9-3. Fond du Lac Ojibwe O's record is now 2-7.
North Woods lost to Fond du Lac Ojibwe O on the road by a decisive 100-86 margin in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can North Woods avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
