Soccer Recap: Commerce Takes a Loss

Commerce entered their match against Providence Christian Academy on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Tigers fell just short of the Storm by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Commerce couldn't quite close it out.

Commerce's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Providence Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Commerce will host Lumpkin County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Commerce will be up against Lumpkin County's rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Providence Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against The Weber School at 5:00 p.m.
