Baseball Recap: Fivay Takes a Loss

Fivay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 28th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Anclote Sharks, falling 21-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sharks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 back in February.

Fivay's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Anclote, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.

Coming up, Fivay will welcome Gulf at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Fivay has given up an average of 20.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Anclote, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anclote is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
