Basketball Recap: Mount Si Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Mount Si waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 60-53 victory over the Lake Washington Kangaroos. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-49 back in December of 2024.

Mount Si's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jake Bonnofsky led the charge by putting up 18 points. Those 18 points gave Bonnofsky a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Drenden Knaevelsrud, who posted 15 points.

Mount Si pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.8 points over those games. As for Lake Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.

Looking ahead, Mount Si will welcome Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arlington will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Mount Si surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lake Washington, they will challenge Redmond at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
