Softball Recap: Mira Costa Comes Up Short

Mira Costa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to the Banning Pilots, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pilots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Saturday.

Mira Costa's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Banning, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-10.

Looking ahead, Mira Costa is taking a road trip to square off against South at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. South will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Mira Costa surely won't give up without a fight. As for Banning, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Narbonne at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
