Volleyball Game Preview: Langley Saxons vs. Chantilly Chargers

The Langley Saxons will square off against the Chantilly Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Langley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

On Monday, Langley made easy work of Yorktown and carried off a 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Chantilly unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of James Madison. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Chantilly started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-14, 26-24, 25-17.

Langley will have to contain Hannah Pourhashemi as she made an impact in Chantilly's last game. She had ten digs and one assist. Pourhashemi has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Chantilly's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Langley, their victory bumped their record up to 21-4.

Langley took their win against Chantilly when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Saxons repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
